The Co-op is inviting Chicagoans to complete the new and improved State of STEM in Out-of-School Time (OST) Survey. The survey is being administered to four groups of stakeholders:
- Workforce Development– Organizations that hold programming to train and prepare others for STEM careers
- Employers– Companies & Organizations that employ anyone in a STEM capacity
- Community-Based Organizations– Organizations that provide or support Out-of-school STEM programming
- Schools– Chicago Public Schools, Charter Schools, Private Schools, and others
These survey results will be used to identify the STEM opportunities currently available to students and existing gaps in opportunities and resources. From there, the results will be used as we continue to work on new, collaborative initiatives that reach the students who do them most. Once finished, the survey results will be available to the public by way of a data dashboard that highlights the current State of STEM in Chicago. In order for this data to be as accurate as possible, the Co-op is asking that all members and partners:
1. Complete the survey that pertains to your work by June 1st, 2023 (all four are linked above)
2. Ask other partners or members of your community to complete the survey(s) on behalf of their own organizations and institutions
