Chicago STEM Learning Ecosystems RFQ: Sector-Wide Conversations

In documenting Chicago’s STEM Learning Ecosystem for the STEM Funders Network RFQ, the planning and writing group (consisting of all stakeholders who come to the table – email Stephanie Levi at to join us) has prioritized capturing the authentic voices of all STEM Learning Ecosystem stakeholders, including youth and families.  One of the easiest ways to do this is to have a face-to-face conversation.  Toward that end, leaders in the various sectors that comprise Chicago’s STEM Learning Ecosystems have offered to lead conversations with peers within their sectors to document what people truly think, need, and desire in our STEM Learning Ecosystem.

The dates are as follows:

Funder Conversation: Thursday, July 9, 2015, 1:00 PM (Led by Lauren Krieg, Albert Pick. Jr. Fund, and Christy Uchida, Brinson Foundation)

Evaluation conversation: Wednesday, July 15, 1:00 PM, EDC, Inc. (Led by Tony Streit, EDC, Inc.)

Civic and Cultural Institution Conversation: Thursday, July 16, 1:00 PM, Field Museum (Led by Beth Crownover, Field Museum)

Higher Education Conversation: Monday, July 20, 11:00 AM, Brinson Foundation (Led by Dean Grosshandler, UIC, and Stephanie Levi, NEIU, Oakton, and Project Exploration)

Please join us for your sector’s conversation and let us know your challenges, your opportunities, and what you need and want!  Questions?  Just email Stephanie Levi (
