BUILDING EARLY CHILDHOOD STEM LEARNING

The Chicago STEM Pathways Cooperative (STEM Co-op) has been supporting the Early Childhood Affinity Group being led by Leslie Layman and Tamara Kaldor. They have met twice with a goal of defining the mission for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) Affinity Group, as well as to brainstorm the Chicagoland area landscape as it relates to ECE in STEM. The purpose of the ECE Affinity Group is to convene with colleagues in-person for learning, networking and knowledge exchange while catalyzing change on critical needs in early childhood education as it relates to STEM. The ECE Affinity Group has connected in Truman College and Erikson Institute for continued conversation, as well as virtually through the online community via a Google Group.
